Suzuki to Deck the halls at the Tokyo motorshow
One of Suzuki's four planned concept car reveals at this year's event is the intriguingly entitled Mighty Deck
Described as a new take on the minicar that offers similarly new kinds of enjoyment and utility, the Mighty Deck is a cross between a sub-compact inner-city car and a pickup truck.
With moulded wrap-around bumpers, stone chip protection, a raised driving position and a canvas folding roof, the car should be just as much fun at or on the beach as it is essential in a supermarket carpark.
As such it will be one of four new prototypes aimed at showing fans where the brand is travelling as it moves into its second century in business. Suzuki started making cars in 1920 and although its centenary isn't until 2020, the overarching banner for this year's Toyko motorshow, which opens to the press on October 28, is "Suzuki Next 100".
