Khaleda Zia sued in Khulna

Police sued BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia along with 59 BNP-Jamaat men with Phultala Police Station in Khulna on Thursday night on charges of bomb blast and arson attack in a passenger bus.
A gang of criminals in the guise of passenger hurled a bomb and set ablaze a Phultala-bound bus in Phultala Primary School area around 7.30 pm last night, leaving two injured. The injured people were admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH).
Officer-in-charge of Phultala Police Station Fakir Elias Hossain told BSS that at least three criminals in the guise of passengers boarded the bus from Rupsha area.
Criminals hurled a bomb and set fire to the bus pouring petrol.
Sub Inspector Khairul Bashar of Phultala Police Station filed a case accusing Begum Zia as the prime accused as she ordered and instigated subversive activities of their party men across the country in the name of democratic movement.
Besides, a total of 59 BNP-Jamaat leaders and activists including BNP district unit general secretary Shafikul Islam Mona and 80 to 90 party men were sued as unnamed accused, OC said.
Police also arrested seven BNP-Jamaat men during a drive on early Friday in this connection.
