The SSC and equivalent exams timetabled for Wednesday have been rescheduled on February 27, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Tuesday said at a briefing in Sylhet.

Earlier, the SSC and equivalent examinations of February 15(Sunday) was shifted to February 20(Friday) due to hartal called by BNP-led 20-party alliance. Now the examinations of Wednesday have been rescheduled due to fresh 48-hour hartal called by the alliance on Tuesday.

BNP joint secretary general Salah Uddin Ahmed on Tuesday declared the extension of the hartal from Wednesday 6:00am to Friday 6:00am. Besides, the blockade programme will also remain effective.
