Hoping to watch Bangladesh-Australia match, she had bought an advance ticket and taken a seat at the Brisbane Stadium’s gallery with a Bangladeshi flag in her hand. I am feeling very sorry for this girl who is so crazy about Bangladesh and cricket.

News from many sources were swirling around that uncertainty might cloud tomorrow’s match due to adverse weather. Still we could not be certain as to what will happen with the game of cricket, which is essentially uncertain though.

But, no source can be as reliable as what Kakoli wrote on her status a while ago. Tomorrow’s match is certainly not going to be played, and I rephrase, it will not be played.

Mashrafe, however, the fearless captain of the Tigers, said, after crushing Afghanistan in Canberra, that his team want to play against Australia the whole 50-over match, not any curtailed one. I, on the other hand, don't want this. I wish Bangladesh will face Sri Lanka in Melbourne (at 9:30pm on 26 February) as an undefeated squad.

Australia, in their turn, are not belittling Mashrafe’s courage to face the powerful adversary as a vain boast of the weak, rather wicketkeeper-batsman Haddin has expressed his concern saying that Bangladesh have the ability to defeat any team.

So now it seems that even Australia would not mind so much if tomorrow’s match gets abandoned. They too would welcome the point distribution with Bangladesh. The pressure of this point distribution process would ultimately fall on the Group A teams, especially on Sri Lanka and England, who are struggling to get to the Second Round. I think Scotland and Afghanistan will not make it at last.

If we can defeat Sri Lanka and England, we can reach Second Round even if Scotland defeat us.

Now it can be evidently said that Bangladesh stood third after New Zealand and Australia in the group round.

And I believe Bangladesh would not be displaced from this third position in the group.
