The Ministry of Local Government on Monday afternoon sent a letter to the Election Commission requesting it to take necessary steps to hold elections in Dhaka South city and Dhaka North city.

The letter says that the problems in holding polls have been resolved. The commission now can take steps for the elections.

Local Government Ministry information officer Mominul Haque confirmed the government step.
