Lakshmipur: Miscreants set fire to the district fisheries office in BISIC area in Lakshmipur in the early hours of Tuesday.
District fisheries official Mohammad Khalekuzzaman said the criminals set fire to the office in the area at about 3:00am and the fire soon engulfed the entire office.
The fire damaged valuable documents and furniture of the office.
Later, local people doused the flame immediately.
Lakshmipur assistant superintendent of police Nasim Miah visited the spot on Tuesday morning.
