DU Persian Dept accords reception to freshers

Dhaka: The fresher’s reception for the first year bachelor’s degree students of the Persian language and literature department of Dhaka University was held on Monday at the Teachers-Students Centre auditorium of the university.
Vice-Chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique addressed the function as the chief guest.
Department chairman Abdus Sabur Khan presided over the programme while Arts Faculty dean Akhtaruzzaman and Iranian ambassador in Dhaka Abbas Vaezi Dehnavi addressed the programme as special guests. Assistant Ahsanul Hadi delivered welcome speech on the occasion.
Arefin Siddique urged the students to equip themselves with the spirit of our independence to make Bangladesh a prosperous country. He also advised the students to know the actual history of our Liberation War to make themselves patriotic and worthy citizen.
