Gazipur: A woman was killed after run over by a utility vehicle used for public transport on Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway in Gazipur on Thursday morning.

Eight passengers of the utility vehicle were also injured as the vehicle plunged after hitting the woman, which took place at about 10:45am.
Police said the deceased, believed to be at her forties, is a resident from Salna, Gazipur.

Four of the injured were taken to Gazipur Shahid Tajuddin College Hospital. They are Jakir, Hasina Begum, Billal Hossain, and Masud. Rest of the injured could not be identified immediately.
