BRUR entry tests begins on 1 May

Rangpur: The rescheduled admission tests forthe first year degree (honours) courses for the 2014-15 academic sessions at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) will begin on 1 May.
The decision was taken at the meeting of the admission test committee held at the office of Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr AKMNurun Nabi on Thursday, said a press release issued here this evening.
The admission test committee would now complete all necessarypreparations timely for holding the tests after five months of the previously scheduled time at different venues in the city, including academic building of BRUR.
As per the previously announced schedule, the admission tests were to be held on 4, 5, 6 December last year.
But, due to various reasons and absence of congenial academic atmosphere in the campus, the schedule for holding of the admission tests on 4, 5, 6 December last year remained suspended for a long time.
According to the varsity officials, a total of 90,402 students have registered them for taking part in admission tests for over 1,200 seats in 21 departments under six faculties in the university.
The admission tests for Unit-A will be held at 9:30am, at 11:30am for Unit-B and at 3:00pm for Unit-C on 1 May, tests for Unit-D at 9:30am, Unit-E at 11:30 am and for Unit-F will be held at 3:00pm on 3 May.
The admission seeker students can download their admit cards for taking part in the admission tests from the varsity's website from 15 April.
The varsity authorities have advised all concerned, including the admission seekers, to visit the varsity websites (www.brur.ac.bd) and (www.admission.brur.ac.bd) for further details about the whole admission process and necessary information.
