Dhaka: From now on, police permission is mandatory for showing police characters in dramas and films. Police have issued an order in this regard, confirmed the Dhaka Metropolitan Police media and public communication Additional Deputy Commissioner SN Jahangir Alam Sarkar.

He said, ‘From now on, police permission is mandatory before showing police characters in drama and films.’

He also said that the authorities had already issued lettered to television channels, Film Directors’ Association, and Bangladesh Film Producers Distributors Association in this regard.
