DU expels three students

Dhaka: Dhaka University authorities have expelled three students for faking the signature of its vice chancellor in their bid to have two students of University Laboratory School and College admitted to the university.
The suspended students are Debashish Shikdar, a master’s degree student of Music Department, Mahmudul Hasan, a honours 1st year student of Arabic Department and Md Abu Daud, a student of the Institute of Education and Research (IER), said a DU release on Thursday.
Debashish along with several others were caught red-handed on Wednesday when they tried to admit two students of University Laboratory School and College, allegedly in exchange of Tk 80,000, by faking the signature of the DU vice chancellor, the release added.
