Court orders police to continue search for Salahuddin

Dhaka: The High Court on Monday ordered police to continue the search for missing BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmed.
The court also ordered the law enforcers to submit report on their search mission to home secretary on the first day for the next six months.
A High Court bench comprising Justice Kamrul Islam Siddique and Justice Gobinda Chandra Thakur issued the order after a hearing on the writ asking to find Salahuddin.
Earlier, on 15 April, the court was scheduled to issue the order but it was postponed as Salahuddin’s lawyer appealed for time.
The court fixed 15 April to issue the order after a hearing on 9 April.
Later, the court scheduled 20 April as the plaintiff lawyer wanted to present more information on his case.
BNP and Salauddin’s family members claimed that on 10 March law enforcers picked him up from a house at Uttara, an allegation denied by the law enforcers and the government.
