Office hours set for Ramadan
Dhaka: Office hours for the month of Ramadan have been fixed from 9:00am to 3:30pm for government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions.
The cabinet at its regular weekly meeting at Bangladesh Secretariat on Monday fixed the new office timing with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
However, the Supreme Court, banks, insurance companies, the offices of Bangladesh Railway, post offices and other such organisations will fix their own timetable for the fasting month according to their own rules and regulations, said the cabinet secretary Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan.
