9 Bangladeshis killed in KSA road accident
Dhaka: Nine Bangladeshi workers were killed in a road accident at Majma’ah in Saudi Arabia in the early hours of Friday.
About 27 people were injured during the accident. It has been known that most of the injured are Bangladeshis and are admitted to King Khaled General Hospital.
Identities of the victims could not be known immediately.
The hospital authorities said the victims were all cleaner of Saudi Arabia City Corporation.
The accident took place when a tyre of truck carrying the workers burst and the truck fell from a bridge as the driver lost his control over the steering wheel at a place 190 kilometres far from capital city Riyadh at about 3:00am Bangladesh time.
Local people took the injured people to the hospital where doctors declared nine workers dead.
