Satkhira: Two security guards of the Kalaroa branch of Sonali Bank in Kalaroa upazila, Sathkhira, were hacked to death by miscreants in the early hours of Wednesday.

The deceased are Jahangir and Afzal, both residents of Jhapaghata village of the upazila.

The Kalaroa police said the reason behind the killing could not be known immediately.

Police suspected that miscreants might have killed the guards while they were trying to rob the bank.

A case was filed in this connection.
