Dhaka: Yet in another nefarious incident, a college girl was gang-raped by miscreants at Jatrabari in Dhaka on Tuesday noon.

Jatrabari Police sub-inspector Abdullah Biswas said the 20-year-old girl along with her boyfriend came to the house of one of the acquaintances of the boy at Dakkhin Kajla near Bishwa Road Masjid at noon from Sonargaon of Narayanganj district.

A group of 7-8 local miscreants stormed into the house at about 2:30pm and confined the boy to a room. They later violated the girl in turns.

On information, police rushed in and took the girl to the One-stop Crisis Centre (OCC) of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Later, a team of police, led by SI Abdullah Biswas, arrested three people from Jatrabari area on Tuesday evening in connection with the incident.

Police also took a woman, tenant of the house where the duo came, to the police station for interrogation.
