Rangpur: A Rangpur on Thursday sentenced a man to death for killing a schoolboy in Gangachhara upazila in 2013.

The condemned convict is Bonde Ali, 50, son of late Mohiruddin of Kruibisha Motiapara Bashbari village in Gangachhara upazila.

According to the prosecution, Bonde Ali lifted a cow from the house of Baloram Chadra Roy of the same village in 2013. Bolaram’s son Raton Kumar Tapon witnessed the incident.

Later, Bolaram called Tapon out of his house and killed him on December 22 of the year.

After examining the evidence and witnesses, Additional District and Sessions’ Judge Abu Jafar Mohammad Kamaruzzaman handed down the verdict.
