Pabna: A class IX girl was gang-raped allegedly by five youths at Choubaria Railpara village of Bhangura upazilla on Wednesday.

Bhangura Police Station officer in-charge Abu Zafar said the victim was rescued in unconscious condition from the house of Mozammel Haque of the village on Wednesday evening. She was taken to Bhangura Upazilla Health Complex after that.

Police quoting the victim said the victim was called by Shahin Alam over mobile phone to go to his house on her way to the school around 10 am on Wednesday. Shahin Alam was previously known to the victim.

Later, Shahin along with five of his accomplices—Sujon 25, son of Freedom Fighter Lutfor Ali, Milon 24, son of Afsar Ali, Asadul Haque 25, son of Harun, Alam 22, son of Iman Ali Koshai - confined the girl in a room of the house and raped the her in turn.

They also took some video of the victim, added the OC.

The victim herself filed a case with Bhangura Police Station against the five alleged rapists mentioned above.

Among the accused, police arrested Shahin Alam and produced him before a court on Thursday. The court sent him to jail.
