Chittagong: A man was killed in a reported gunfight with the members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-7 in Akbar Shah area of Chittagong in the early hours of Monday.
RAB officials said the deceased is Jahidul Islam alias Alo, a drug trader.

RAB-7 through a text message on Monday morning said the gunfight occurred at about 2:45am.

Sensing presence of RAB, the people inside the vehicle opened fire at them, prompting RAB to retaliate that triggered a gunfight, leaving Zahidul bullet-hit.

Later, the injured was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

The Akbar Shah police recovered the body from the hospital at about 8:30am.

RAB also recovered foreign guns, three bullets, 20, 000 Yaba pills from the spot.
