Mymensingh: Bodies of three new-borns found in a canal near the dormitories of Mymensingh Polytechnic Institute on Monday morning.

Identities of the new-born babies could not be known immediately.  

Local people called police when they found the bodies floating in a canal at about 8:30am.

Police recovered the bodies at about 10:30am and sent them to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

The Kotwali model police said it is thought that the new-borns were left away by their parents after abortion.

Police said the bodies are of two boys and a girl.

We will take action after conducting inquest and autopsy of the bodies.
