Woman, 2 daughters ‘poisoned to death’

Sirajganj: A woman and her two daughters were killed allegedly by feeding poisoned food at Panchlia Dakkhinpara village in Ullapara upazila, Siraganj, on Sunday evening over a land-related dispute.
The deceased are Amena Begum, and her daughters Fatema, and Nupur.
The Ullapara police said Amena and her three daughters fell ill after they were fed with food laced with poison at about 7:30pm.
Other family members took them to a local hospital where doctors declared Fatema and Nupur dead.
Amena and her other daughter Hafiza were shifted to Sadar Hospital where the former died at about 8:00pm.
The condition of Hafiza was also stated to be critical.
Police arrested four people—Amena’s brothers-in-law Shahidul Islam, and Manik, Shahidul’s wife and his aunt—in this connection.
