Creative IT launches Blood Hero app

Dhaka: A new mobile application Blood Hero is launched in Bangladesh to search the blood donors on emergency. Creative IT, a local tech firm, developed the mobile application to connect blood donors across the country on charity.
Creative IT chairman Mohammad Monir Hossain inaugurated the app at the Bangladesh Internet Week event on Monday at Banani field in Dhaka.
Creative IT managing director Utpal Kumar Sarkar, deputy managing director Parvin Akhter Sampa, head of business Tanvir Tamal were present among others at the inauguration ceremony.
The information of blood donors will be available on download from Play Store and registration with the application, the developers shared at the event. Information of donors according to blood groups and geographic areas in the app will bring accuracy in donors information on emergency. The Global Positioning System (GPS) integration is a speciality of the apps that helps searching blood in selective range. The latest blood donors’ information in the nearby areas will be displayed on opening the app according to GPS. There are options to connect blood donors over voice call or text. Anyone can save donors name in favourite list.
The donors can hide own contacts for privacy choosing only text option to connect. The five-member developer team of Creative IT— headed by Partha Raz Dev, Taiful Hasan Shuvo, Al Amin, Kazi Jannatul Ferdaus and Halima Akter Mitu — has developed the app.
The developers said many potential donor often miss the opportunity to donate blodd for lack of knowledge despite awareness has been developed in the last ten years.
The visitors at Dhaka Internet Expo get opportunities to know own blood group as well as information on blood donation.
