Mymensingh: A woman was stabbed to death allegedly by her drug addict son at Bharamadhyapara village in Gafargaon upazila of Mymensingh on Wednesday.

The deceased is Josna Khatun, a resident of the village.

The Gafargaon police said Josna’s drug addict son Mofazzal had demanded some money from her at about 3:00pm.

Mofazzal locked into an altercation with her mother as she refused to give the money.

At one stage, Mofazzal stabbed her indiscriminately, leaving her dead on the spot.

Police also arrested Mofazzal in connection with the killing.
