4 held, 10 children rescued in city
Dhaka: Police on Saturday held four people for their suspected involvement in human trafficking and rescued 10 children from Rampura in the city.
Rampura police officer-in-charge Mahbubur Rahman said, ‘We held four persons and rescued 10 children from a house at Rampura.’
The detainees claimed themselves innocent saying that they kept the children together for activities of a non-government organization (NGO), he said, adding that they were held for their suspicious activities.
‘We will take decision whether they will be arrested after confirming their motive through interrogation,’ he added.
They are now under interrogation of police.
