Bangladesh reaffirms commitment to realise Palestinians’ rights
Dhaka: Bangladesh on Sunday reiterated its unequivocal commitment towards realising the inalienable rights of the brotherly people of Palestine for an independent homeland and a sovereign and viable State of Palestine.
In a message to Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed concern over the recent atrocities perpetrated by Israeli occupation forces during the last few days.
‘I’m deeply saddened and concerned about the recent atrocities perpetrated by Israeli occupation forces during the last few days,’ she said in the message.
The atrocities claimed the lives of several Palestinian civilians, including shooting dead of seven Palestinians on 9 October and two Palestinian innocent minors on 10 October 2015 and leaving many others injured.
While expressing deep condolences and sympathies for the victims as well as Palestinian brothers, the Prime Minister prayed for early recovery of the injured ones.
‘We unequivocally denounce such acts of terror and violence and call for bringing the perpetrators involved in these heinous crimes to justice,’ Hasina said, adding, ‘May Almighty Allah give the government and the brotherly people of Palestine the strength to achieve the goal of an independent homeland.’
