Kustia: Detective Branch of police in a drive arrested eight activists of Islami Chattra Shibir along with 10 hand bombs, leaflets and jihadi books from a hostel in Kustia town on Monday noon.

The arrestees are Khaled Hossain, Sagor, Mehedi Hassan, Mohsin, Hehedi Hassan, Faijullah, Azim Uddin, Raisul Islam, hailing from different upazilas of the district.

DB Sub-inspector Abu Daud said, tipped-off, a team of detectives conducted a drive in Milline Jame Masjid hostel at noon and arrested the eight Shibir activists while they were in a clandestine meeting.

During the drive, DB police also recovered 10 hand bombs, leaflets and huge jihadi books from their possessions.
