Dhaka: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged conscious citizens to help the government for finding the killers of recent bloggers and writers murders.

The prime minister made the call on Sunday during a press meeting at Ganabhaban to brief the outcomes of her recent three-day-long Netherlands tour.  

Sheikh Hasina also talked about the development of Bangladesh, internal security, blogger-writer killing, secularism, Amnesty International and other issues during a question-answer session with the journalists following her speech on Netherland tour.

Several ministers, state ministers, lawmakers, Awami League leaders, activits were present during the press briefing.

In reply to a question asked by a journalist the prime minister said government is trying to find out the murders of bloggers and writers. She also asked the concerned citizen to help government in this issue.

Do not hurt religious sentiment

Sheikh Hasina urged people not to publish write-ups hurting others’ religious faith and sentiments. She said, ‘We believe in secular democracy. Secularism does not mean religious-less-ness. Publishing misleading write-ups is not a human virtue. ’

Plotters trying to turn Bangladesh into Afghanistan-Iraq

Prime Minister said a class of people started secret killings as they failed to do something by arson attack, bombings.

She said, ‘Have you ever thought what would be the consequence if it’s proven IS exists in Bangladesh?’

Sheikh Hasina said conspiracy is going on to turn Bangladesh into Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya, which is not expected.

PM asks Khaleda Zia to get rid of affiliation with war criminals

Replying a question whether government will sit for a talk with the opposition party the prime minister said Khaleda Zia denied to sit with her when there was an opportunity of coalition. She said the BNP chairperson even did not response to proposal for forming all party coalition government before the election.

Sheikh Hasina said Khaleda Zia has to get rid of abundant affiliation with war criminals if she wants to sit for a talk.

Govt trying hard to remove militancy

Prime Minister said Hussani Dalan bomb attack was for triggering sectarian conflicts between Shia, Sunni communities. Government is trying to eradicate this kind of militancy. She also said Bangladesh is safer than the United States, England where crimes are happening in every second.

Amnesty International report biased

Sheikh Hasina about the report of Amnesty International on the war criminal trials in Bangladesh said the recent Amnesty International report on Bangladesh is not acceptable. The organisation published the report in exchange of huge bribe, she claimed.
