18kg gold seized at Dhaka airport

Dhaka: Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate officials seized 160 gold bars weighing 18.1kilogram from a Malaysian Airlines flight at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday night.
Airport authorities said the flight landed at the airport at about 8:56pm.
A team of custom officials launched a search at the aircraft after its passengers got down from it, reports United News of Bangladesh.
After the search that continued for around 1 hour, the gold bars were found hidden under a seat of the aircraft.
