Kishoreganj: A teenage boy was hacked to death by some miscreants at Hazratnagar in the Kishoreganj town on Thursday night.

The deceased is Subal Mia, 15, a resident of the area.

Local people said a group of miscreants equipped with sharp weapons and iron rods intercepted Subal and stabbed him indiscriminately while he was returning home at about10:00pm, leaving him critically injured.

Later he was rushed to Kishoreganj Sadar Hospital from where he was referred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Meanwhile, Subal died on way to Dhaka at about 11:30pm.

Kishoreganj police officer-in-charge Mir Mosharraf Hossain said the reason behind the killing could not be known immediately.
