Thakurgaon: Hanging bodies of two women were found in two different villages under Pirganj upazila of the Thakurgaon on Saturday.

The deceased are HSC examinee Ripa Rani, 19, and newly married Brishti Rani Roy, 22, reports BSS.

Being informed by locals, police recovered the hanging body of Ripa Rani, daughter of Fulcharan of Thumnia village under Pirganj upazila of the district from her house on Saturday evening.

In another incident, Brishti Rani Roy, 22, wife of Johon Chandra Roy of Matiani village under Pirganj upazila was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her house. Later, on receiving information police recovered the body from her house on Saturday afternoon.

Pirganj police officer-in-charge KM Showkat Hossain said the bodies were sent for autopsy.

Two Unnatural Death (UD) cases were filed with Pirganj police station in this connection.
