Rangpur: Police in an anti-crime drives arrested 55 persons, including a BNP and Islami Chhatra Shibir activists, at different places in Rangpur on Wednesday.

According to police sources, the arrested persons also included absconding accused persons of different cases, warrantees, thieves, muggers, drug traders, anti-social elements and other suspicious people.

After primary interrogation, police produced the arrested persons before different Rangpur courts from where they were sent to jail later this afternoon, the sources said.
