Benapole: A local leader of Krishak League was killed when he was hit by a train at Naoapara of Abhoynagar upazila in Jessore on Monday night, reports UNB.

Abhoynagar police officer-in-charge Nasir Uddin said a Jessore-bound train hit Atiar Rahman Molla, in his sixties, an executive member of Abhoynagar upazila unit of Krishak League, farmers’ front of the ruling Awami League, at about 8:00pm while he was crossing the rail tracks, leaving him injured.

He was rushed to Abhoynagar upazila health complex where doctors declared him dead.
