Tangail: A rickshaw van puller and his mother were killed and another person was injured as a bus knocked down his vehicle at Gangair on the Tangail-Mymensingh in Madhupur upazila on Tuesday morning, reports UNB.

Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Madhupur Police Station, said a Mymensingh-bound bus hit a rickshaw van in the area at about 9:00 am, leaving Bedena Begum, 48, and his son Farhad, 30, who was driving the rickshaw van, dead on the spot, and a pedestrian injured.

The injured, Ashraf Hossain, was admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

Police seized the bus but its driver and helper managed to flee the scene.

A case was filed in this connection.
