Dhaka: Customs intelligence officials arrested a man along with smuggled goods worth Tk 50lakh at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka early on Monday, reports a local news agency.

The arrestee is Mirza Sadek, resident of Raozan upazila of Chittagong.

Assistant commissioner (customs) Al Amin said Mirza arrived at the airport from Sharjah of United Arab Emirates (UAE) by a flight of Air Arabia at about 2:15am.

As per secret information, the customs official challenged him while he was crossing the green channel.

They recovered huge cosmetics, sex stimulating drugs, tobacco, 30 smartphones, 14 cartons of cigarettes and four DSLR cameras from him.
