Bangladesh’s major challenge to keep up the glorious last performance in 2015 begins today (24 February), as MS Dhoni’s men will be looking to avenge their defeat in last year’s bout.

It was known earlier that Bangladesh’s star opener batsman Tamim Iqbal will be missing the Asia Cup 2016 for the birth of his child. He has been replaced by Imrul Kayes, who is expected to make way for the dashing left-handed opener when he returns to the side for the World T20 to be held in India.

The Tigers’ fans are eagerly waiting to know about today’s Bangladesh squad. According to a selector, Nasir Hossain is not included in the team. Abu Hider, Nurul Hasan, and Arafat Sunny are also excluded from today’s squad, said the selector.

Probable Bangladesh team:

Mashrafe Mortaza*, Al-Amin Hossain, Imrul Kayes, Mahmudullah, Mohammad Mithun, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mustafizur Rahman, Sabbir Rahman, Shakib Al Hasan, Soumya Sarkar, and Taskin Ahmed
