Madaripur: Three people were killed and another was injured as a bus rammed a human hauler on Barisal-Faridpur highway at Kolabari in sadar upazila on Saturday afternoon.

Madaripur Police Station officer-in-charge Ziaul Morshed said Shariful Islam, 28, a Dhaka University student and Latiful Islam, 50, of sadar upazila and an unidentified man died in the road crash that took place at about 3:30 pm.

A human hauler carrying four people overturned on the road when a Barisal-bound bus from Dhaka hit it, leaving the trio dead on the spot and another passenger injured, said the OC.

The injured man was whisked off to sadar hospital.
