Dhaka: Bando Design clinched the title of the maiden edition BGMEA Cup football tournament beating Comfit Composite by 4-1 goals in the final at Bangladesh Army Stadium on Friday.  

Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed inaugurated the final of the 12-team week-long meet, organized by the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).  

Bando dominated the first half by 2-0 goals.  

Shakil scored 2 goals for the winners in the 6th and 26th minutes to be adjudged player of the final. Mridul and Imran scored one goal each in the 2nd and 34th minutes to extend the winning margin.  

Captain Tanin reduced the margin scoring a consolation goal for Comfit in the 36th minute.  

Bando captain Imran clinched the highest scorer title scoring 11 goals in the tournament.
