Dhaka: British Council has temporarily shut down its services in Bangladesh.

The authorities issued a notice on its website that read: ‘Our offices are temporarily closed to review security procedures. Customer Services will be responding to queries through email, Live Chat and Facebook in the usual office hours. We regret any inconvenience caused.’

The British Council is a British organisation specialising in international cultural and educational opportunities.
