Satkhira: Police arrested 47 people, including 19 activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir, from separate areas in the district from Friday evening to Saturday morning on various charges.

Mizanur Rahman, inspector of Satkhira district special branch (SB) told UNB that police conducted drive in different areas of eight upazilas and arrested them.

The arrestees, who were accused in different sabotage cases, were sent to jail, added Mizanur.
