Dhaka: A fire broke out in a six-storey building at Jahan Super Market in Dhaka’s Mirpur Road on Wednesday morning.

Atiqul Alam, inspector of the Fire Service and Civil Defence control room, said the fire originated from an electric board on the 4^th floor of the building opposite Dhaka College at about 11:48am and spread soon.

Three units of fire fighters went to the spot and put out the flame at about 12:05pm, Atiqul added.

No casualty was reported and the reason behind the fire could not be ascertained immediately.
