Unidentified assailants looted Tk five lakh from a Bkash outlet, shooting an employee at the store in Dhaka’s Baridhara area on Saturday morning.

Witnesses said a group of muggers stormed a Bkash outlet named Masud Enterprise at the J-block in Baridhara at about 10:30am, reports UNB.

The hoodlums beat up Jahir, 25, an employee of the shop, and shot him, leaving him injured and fled the scene snatching half a million taka from the cashbox.

Injured Jahir was whisked off to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at about 11:30am, said DMCH police camp in-charge Bacchu Miah, also a sub-inspector.
