Gazipur: A man was hacked to death by some miscreants at Gobindapur in Kashempur area of Gazipur city on Wednesday night.

The deceased was Mohammad Shahin, son of Geduraj alias Juboraj, a resident of Sripur area in Ashulia.

Chakrabarty police camp in-charge Sub-inspector Harun-or-Rashid said a gang of miscreants attacked Shahin when he was returning home at about 9:30pm.

The attackers then stabbed him indiscriminately with sharp weapons, leaving him dead on the spot.

Informed, police recovered the body.

Shahin might have been killed by the miscreants over previous enmity, the SI added.

A case was filed in this connection.
