An elderly women and her 14-year-old grandson received burn injuries when an air conditioner exploded in Dhaka South City’s Wari area on early Saturday.

Burned Parul Begum, and Fahim were admitted to the Burn Unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at about 7:30am.

DMCH police outpost Officer-in-charge (OC) Bacchu Mia said, the accident took place at house 22 on Tipu Sultan Road in Wari. However, it is yet to be confirmed when and on which floor the explosion occurred.

The conditions of both the burn injured are critical as Fahim received 95% and Parul Begum received 37% burns.
