Dhaka: Miscreants hacked a woman to death and from her apartment in Dokkhin Khan area of Dhaka on Wednesday.

The deceased is Wahida Akhtar, around 44 years old, wife of Torhab Hossain, expatriate lives in Qatar.

Victim’s brother-in-law Ilias Mojumdar Khokhon said two unidentified persons came to rent apartment on Wednesday evening.

Wahida took them to the 6^th floor to see the apartment where the miscreants looted her ornaments and hacked away at her, he said.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital police camp official Bacchu Miah said Jahanara was taken to a local cilinic at Uttara. Later she was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) as her condition deteriorated, where doctor declared her dead at about 10:20pm.
