Gazipur: A man was killed and three others were injured as a microbus hit an auto-rickshaw in Chakraborty area of Gazipur on Sunday morning.

The deceased is Abdul Karim.

Police said the accident took place on the Chandra-Nabinagar Highway in the area at about 8:45am when the microbus hit the auto-rickshaw, leaving auto rickshaw passenger Karim dead on the spot and three others injured.

The injured were admitted to Fazilatunnisa Mujib Memorial Specialised Hospital.

Police arrested the microbus driver and his associate from the spot.
