Dhaka: A madrasa student was crushed under the wheels of a speeding bus at Karwan Bazar in Dhaka on Friday afternoon.

The deceased is Rabiul Awal, 9, son of Saidur Rahman, a resident of Katiadi upazila of Kishoreganj. Rabiul was a student of Jamia Amrasha Madrasha at Karwan Bazar, reports UNB.

Witnesses said the accident took place when a bus of ‘Welcome Paribahan’ rammed him while he was crossing the road at about 2:00pm, leaving him injured.

Later, Rabiul was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctor declared him dead at about 2:40pm, said sub-inspector Bacchu Miah, in charge of DMCH police camp.
