Tampaco Tragedy: Remains of 3 more victims found

Gazipur: Remains of three more fire victims were recovered from the fire-ravaged Tampaco Foils factory in Tongi BSCIC Industrial area on Monday, raising the death toll in incident to 39.
Gazipur Fire Station Assistant director Akhterzumman Liton said the bones of three bodies were found in the establishment at about 11:00am.
The fire, apparently triggered by a boiler explosion, at the packaging factory on 10 September killed at last 39 people and injured nearly 40 while the blaze collapsed parts of the four-storey building.
Meanwhile, S M Alam, deputy commissioner of Gazipur, said an inter-ministry high powered probe committee will be formed to investigate the incident and the deadline for submitting report by the present probe committee has been extended for seven days.
However, the Titas Gas authorities submitted a probe report on 22 September.
