Benapole: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and police in separate drives arrested three alleged criminals from separate places in Jessore early on Wednesday.

The arrestees are Yeasir Arafat alias Boma Arafat, Tablet Sohel, and Apon alias Shahi, all residents of Mollapara Amtala of Jessore.

Police said tipped off, a team of Kotwali Model Police Station led by its sub-inspector Amir Hossain conducted a drive in Bandari Beel Mathpara area and arrested Boma Arafat at about 12:30am.

The law enforcer also recovered one locally-made pistol and one round of bullet from his possession.

In another drive, RAB members arrested Tablet Sohel and Apon alias Shahi from Bejpara TB Clinic area of the town at about 1:30am.

The arrestees were wanted in several cases including those for arms, robbery and snatching, police said.
