Bangladesh makes good start beating Hong Kong

Dhaka: Defending champions Bangladesh National Hockey team made a good start in the eight-nation 5th Men’s Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) Cup Hockey opener beating hosts Hong Kong by 4-2 goals at King’s Park Hockey ground in Hong Kong Saturday afternoon
Touring Bangladesh led the first half by 3-1 goals.
Penalty corner expert Mamunur Rahman Chayan scored two consecutive goals for Bangladesh in the 22nd and 25th minutes respectively from his favorite penalty corners

Captain Rasel Mahmud Jimi scored the 3rd goal for Bangladesh in the 33rd minute from a penalty stroke (3-0)
Tsang Kin Kan pulled the Hong Kong margin one back in the 35th minute from a penalty corner (3-1) while captain Siu Chung Ming again reduced Hong Kong the margin scoring a field goal in the 42nd minute (3-2).
Bangladesh skipper cum forward Rasel Mahmud Jimi sealed the fate of the match scoring a field goal in the 52nd minute (4-2).
Earlier, two times champion Bangladesh have been placed in Group-A with Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong and Macau while Group-B team consists of Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Uzbekistan.
In the remaining group matches, Bangladesh will play against Chinese Taipei on Nov 21 and Macau on Nov 23, both at 4pm BST at the same venue.
