Natore: Four people were killed and three others injured as a truck hit a rickshaw van on the Ishwardi-Lalpur Road in South Lalpur area of Lalpur upazila in Natore on Friday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The accident took place at about 11:30am when the truck hit the van carrying seven people, leaving one dead on the spot and six others injured, said Abu Obayed, the Lalpur Police Officer-in-charge.

The injured were taken to Sadar Hospital where doctors declared three people dead.
